The Playground is the 44th episode of the first season of "Peppa Pig".
Synopsis
[edit]Peppa, George and their friends have fun at the playground. Meanwhile, George tries to conquer his fear of heights.
Summary
[edit]On a bright sunny day, everyone is playing outside. Candy and Pedro are on the flaming frame, while Danny, Suzy, and Rebecca play on the slide, and Peppa is on the swing. She asks Mummy Pig to push her and claims she wants to go really high, and keeps asking to be pushed higher. But she gets off when George wants on, then offers to push him. Mummy Pig warns her to push George gently, but when she doesn't, he ends up crying until Mummy Pig picks him up. She informs Peppa that he's scared of heights, so Peppa and George head over to the climbing frame to find Suzy and Danny there.
They all take turns on the tire swing, and when Peppa jumps through it, she swings; only to discover that she's stuck. Everyone can't help but laugh, but she doesn't find it funny. Daddy Pig claims that it looks humorous, and everyone lines up to pull her out. They cheer and Daddy Pig asks George if he wants to play on the climbing frame, and while initially for it; he begins to cry again after Daddy puts him on it. They then suggest going to the slide and everyone lines up to ride it.
First Peppa, Suzy, Danny, Candy, Rebecca, and Pedro go down it. But when it is George's turn, he starts to get nervous. Daddy offers to help him so that he can get down after he starts to cry, but in the strategy, he gets stuck. All of the children line up and together they are able to shove him onto the ground, and as they slide down they use him to bounce on. In the end, George decides that he likes to bounce on Daddy Pig's tummy and everyone watches as he has fun.

- The Narrator claims George conquered his fear of heights, but in Funfair, Potato City, Scooters, and Mountain Climbing, George gets scared and cries over a certain point in the air. It could be that he hasn't been in higher situations before.

Narrator: Peppa is stuck in the tire.

Narrator: The climbing frame is quite high.
(George gasps)

(George Pig is crying)

Peppa Pig: Yes, the slide.
Narrator: Peppa loves the slide.

Peppa Pig: Mummy, Daddy, look at me.
Peppa Pig: Ready, steady, go.

Narrator: George wants to play on the slide.

Daddy Pig: All right. I’ll help you up the steps.
George Pig: (giggles and gasps)
Narrator: Oh, dear. It is a bit too high for George.
(George Pig is crying)
Daddy Pig: Don’t worry, George. I’ll slide down with you.
Peppa Pig: Daddy, you’re too big to go down the slide.
Daddy Pig: Don’t be silly, Peppa. I’m not too big.
Daddy Pig: Stand back. Ready, steady, go.
Narrator: Daddy Pig is stuck.
Daddy Pig: It’s not funny.
Peppa Pig: It looks very funny, Daddy.
Daddy Pig: Hmmm. I suppose it is a bit funny.
Peppa Pig: We’ll have to push you down.
