Richard Rabbit Comes to Play is the 8th episode of Season 3 and the 112th episode overall.
Plot
[edit]Peppa isn't too happy when Richard Rabbit comes round to their house and ruins her game with George. When Peppa invites Suzy to come play, things get a bit too complicated. The toddlers want to play their games, while the girls want to play theirs.
Summary
[edit]On a rainy day, Peppa and George are building a block house. Then the doorbell rings, and Daddy Pig yells out that Richard Rabbit has arrived. George is delighted to see Richard, and Richard is satisfied to see George, and they roar with their dinosaurs.
When they head upstairs, they start having fun with the bouncy ball very noisy and knocking down Peppa's block house. Peppa asks the two to play something less loud, to which George turns the toy basket down to make a volcano, Richard uses trees to make a jungle, and George finishes off Dinosaur Land by using the blocks to make a river. They are very pleased with what they did, but Peppa isn't as it's too noisy and decided to leave.
Mummy and Daddy Pig are watching TV, and are happy that the rain allows them to sit inside the house watching "important TV programs". Peppa comes down and tells them that their games are too loud and that she has nobody to play with. Mummy Pig proposes Suzy Sheep to come over, which Daddy Pig rings up Suzy's house. Suzy accepts Peppa's request to come over and wear her nurse's costume as well.
Suzy comes, and once the two arrive in the bedroom, they pack up the toys George and Richard were playing with and decide the bedroom is a hospital instead, and so they put Mr. Dinosaur and Richard's dinosaurs into bed, much to the toddlers' dismays.
George then puts the hospital stuff in the toybox to make a railway station using a trainset so he and Richard can proceed with to only play their games, but once again, Peppa is having none of it, so she puts the trainset away and brings fairy equipment out. The girls decided that the room is now a fairyland and only lovely things are allowed there, to which the problem goes out-of-control when George and Richard throw a tantrum. Mummy and Daddy Pig come upstairs, wondering what's all the fuss about.
Peppa and Suzy explains that George and Richard want to play dinosaurs and trains while they want to play hospitals and fairies. Daddy Pig notices that the rain has stopped and said they can play outside, but the two sides still to play their own games, until Daddy Pig mentions Muddy Puddles. Everyone finally have a game they can finally play together.

[edit]- This episode marks the second time Richard has a leading role in an episode, the first being his debut episode "George's Friend".
- This is the first episode where Richard appears without Rebecca Rabbit.
- This is the second time the question “What’s all this crying about?” is asked, this time by Mummy Pig; the first was by Daddy Pig in "George's Friend".
Goofs
[edit]- Richard’s toy dinosaur is purple in this episode, when it should’ve been red. In fact, his toy dinosaur exchanged colors with George’s Brontosaurus that he got in George's Birthday.
- When George and Richard cry, Richard can be heard sobbing, but he is still shown to be crying.

*The screen cuts to outside who starts raining, Richard Rabbit is there with his toy, Daddy Rabbit and Daddy Pig with their umbrellas and he's chuckles*

Mummy Pig: You could ask Suzy Sheep to come over.
Narrator: Suzy Sheep is Peppa's best friend.
Peppa Pig: Can Suzy really come over? Now?
Daddy Pig: Let's ring her.
*phone beeps and rings*
Suzy Sheep: *Baa* Hello? Suzy Sheep speaking.
Peppa Pig: Suzy, it's me. Can you come to my house now?
Suzy Sheep: Yes Peppa! Can I wear my nurse' costume?
Peppa Pig: Yes, but come quickly.
Mummy Sheep: Bye Bye Suzy, I'll be back to-
Peppa Pig: Quick Suzy!
Mummy Sheep: Pick you up later!
Peppa Pig: (sternly) George, Richard, Nurse Suzy is here.
Suzy Sheep: And Nurse Suzy says: "This is not Dinosaur Land. It’s a hospital.” And a hospital must be clean and tidy.
Narrator: The bedroom is not Dinosaur Land anymore. It is a hospital.
Peppa Pig: I'm the important doctor. Mmm, this dinosaur looks sick.
Suzy Sheep: I agree, doctor. He is a very greeny ill colour. He must go to bed.
Peppa Pig: And this dinosaur is a very purply color.
Suzy Sheep: Yes, doctor. He must go into bed too.
George and Richard: Dinosaur.
Suzy Sheep: Shush. Quiet. In the hospital.
George: Choo-Choo.
Richard: *Blows a Whistle*
Narrator: The bedroom is not a hospital anymore. Now it is a railway station.
Peppa Pig: No, no. There aren't any trains in Fairy Land.
Narrator: Oh, now the bedroom is Fairy Land.
