The Republic of Both Nations[a], commonly known as the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth[b] or the First Polish Republic[c][1][2], formally Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania[d]
I propose to change the name of the article to "Republic of Both Nations", because that was the official name of this country. The term "Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth" is an unofficial extension of the term "Republic of Both Nations". The name "Republic" (pol. Rzeczpospolita) came into official use with the creation of the Polish-Lithuanian state as a result of the Union of Lublin in 1569. The name of the Republic of Both Nations (la. Res Publica Utriusque Nationis) was confirmed in 1791 under the Reciprocal Guarantee of Two Nations.
Of course, it is beyond dispute that the term "Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth" is also popular, but from a LEGAL, HISTORICAL and LOGICAL perspective it is incorrect. Therefore, I propose to change the name of the article to "Rzeczpospolita Obojga Nations" and formulate the heading of the article as follows: the Republic of Both Nations, commonly known as the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth
