Hérold Israel, Haiti Secretary of State for Communication, was Spokesperson and Director of Communication for Haiti's current President Michel Martelly. Hérold Israël is a journalist, director and TV reporter from Haiti. He obtained his Bachelor in Law Studies and International Relations in Haiti. He served as National Spokesman and Chief of Staff for the US-trained National Police of Haiti from 1995 to 1997. He held the post of Executive Secretary of the Haitian Consulate in Miami from 2001 to 2004. In 2004, he discovered his passion for cinema and decided to embark on a new career path: Filmmaking. He has since written, produced and directed two popular features in the growing Haitian film industry (Dolores and Player 1/2). Subsequently, he moved to Los Angeles, California to complete a Master of Fine Art in Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy at Universal Studio.
