Patricia Bricklin was a Professor of Psychology in the in the Institute of Graduate Clinical Psychology at Widener University. She held multiple leadership titles over her career which included serving as President of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association and . She was awarded the American Psychological Association Award for Distinguished Professional Contributions and the American Psychological Foundation Gold Medal Award for Life Achievement in the Practice of Psychology.

Bricklin attend John Hopkins University where she taken classes to get her masters degree.She grew up in Toledo, Ohio.. She had difficulties getting acceptance into a graduate school for her doctorate due to her gender of bring a female, but eventually was admitted and completed her degree in the Department of Psychology at Temple University. Bricklin meets her husband in school, married and had Four children together two girls and two boys. Bricklin learned how to listen to people and the tone of their voices from a call-in-radio shows under her husband Barry Bricklin. The talk show motivated her to be a lobbyist and research the ethics of psychological evaluation.
