[edit]The article I chose is about the artist of the painting I chose for the main Wikipedia project. The article ,The Last Communion of Saint Jerome (Domenichino), that I chose for the main project has almost no information, but the article I used for this evaluation about the artist Domenichino, has a decent amount of information. It provides information of his life, artwork, and principles of art. I found the criticism of Ruskin section a little distracting from the main topic and that the Life section was a little long or should at least be broken into some subheadings. I also think there could be more content added to this article, such as his methods for painting and more summaries and specifics about certain famous pieces and maybe a section for other artists he influenced during that time.
Tone:
[edit]The article seems pretty neutral in tone, but I'm also suspicious that some information is copy and pasted, since the sources are not done well. Granted I don't know much on this artist, I think that there is some information underrepresented as well, since this is a pretty short article. There is also not much discussion in the Talk section, which is disappointing and only mentions some matters about the unreliable sources.

[edit]One of the sources literally led me to a Volvo car website and had nothing to do with the artist, which makes me now question the other sources as well. I feel like there should be more sources for this article too. The websites linked to this article as sources, did not provide that much information overall and seemed questionable in quality. A lot of the information in the Life section of this article, doesn't seem to have a specific source linked to any of it, so I don't know where they got the information (unless I read it wrong).

The Last Communion of St. Jerome is a 1614 painting by Domenichino. It was commissioned for the church of San Girolamo della Carità in Rome in 1612 and is now in the Pinacoteca Vaticana. The composition is very similar to a painting of the same subject by Agostino Carracci. Domenichino's rival, Giovanni Lanfranco, accused Domenichino of plagiarism due to the similarities.[1]
