[edit]Jordan Pundik
[edit]Jordan Izaak Pundik (born October 12 1979) is New Found Glory's lead vocalist.
Pundik, born to Carlos and Maureen Pundik on October 12 1979, has two younger siblings, a brother named Daniel (singer of the post-hardcore band The Big Screen) and a sister named Edra (a clerk at Nordstrom). He met his future New Found Glory bandmate Steve Klein while attending Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Growing up, he sang and played guitar in various garage bands with Klein, including Fallview, Inner City Kids and Flip 60, whose bassist was Ian Grushka.
He has a particularly unique nasal and high voice, thus influencing other vocalists in the band's genre. Besides New Found Glory, he sang backing vocals on the track "Cat Like Thief" on Box Car Racer's debut album Box Car Racer (2002), and on "Kings of Hollywood" and "You're Not Alone" from MxPx's Before Everything & After (2003).
On September 5 2005, he married Stacey Beth Griemsmann. They are now divorced. Pundik is considered a Quentin Tarantino look-alike and thinks that "besides Powerpuff Girls, TV is annoying".
Chad Gilbert
[edit]Chad Everett Gilbert (born March 9 1981) is New Found Glory's lead guitarist/backing vocalist.
While attending J.P. Taravella High School in Coral Springs, Florida, Gilbert was the lead singer of the hardcore punk band Shai Hulud. He released three CDs with the band — A Profound Hatred of Man (1997), Hearts Once Nourished with Hope and Compassion (1997), and The Fall of Every Man (1998) — before leaving to co-form New Found Glory. In 1999, he dropped out of high school without a diploma when the band got signed to Drive-Thru Records. Gilbert is the only straight edge member of the band.
Apart from playing the lead guitar, Gilbert also writes the majority of New Found Glory's music and handles the occasional screaming backups in the band. Additionally, he has done guest vocals for Throwdown's "The Only Thing", off the album Haymaker (2003), as well as Fall Out Boy's "I Slept With Someone in Fall Out Boy and All I Got Was this Stupid Song Written About Me", off the album From Under the Cork Tree (2005). He also made a cameo appearance in the music video to blink-182's "First Date".
Originally planned as a side-project, Gilbert formed the hardcore supergroup Hazen Street in 2003. However, due to an exclusivity clause in New Found Glory's contract with Universal Music, Gilbert was not allowed to be a part of Hazen Street, despite co-writing the majority of their debut album.
In December 2005, Gilbert announced his engagement to Eisley vocalist/guitarist Sherri Dupree. Gilbert proposed to her on December 8 2005 at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, California, at the premiere of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, DuPree's favorite book. As of Dec 2007 the couple have split, it was confirmed Gilbert left DuPree.
He is now dating front woman of rock group Paramore, Hayley Williams. (20)
Steve Klein
[edit]Stephen Lee Klein (born September 30 1979) is New Found Glory's rhythm guitarist.
Raised in a jewish home by his parents Michael and Fern Klein, Klein has a brother named David, drummer of the band Copasetic. New Found Glory's guitarist and main lyricist is known for his frequently wearing caps and his obsession with a person named Blanco Meow. He met singer Pundik in high school, making the two of them the ones in the band whose relationship goes back the furthest. They played in multiple semi-professional bands together, before Klein gave up an English scholarship to pursue a musical career in New Found Glory.
Klein temporarily shared a home with New Found Glory drummer Cyrus Bolooki, as seen in a 2003 episode of MTV Cribs. In 2006, Klein welcomed his first child, daughter Presley Rae. His second daughter, Grace, was born in 2008. He presently lives in California with his wife and daughters.
Ian Grushka
[edit]Ian Ryan Grushka (born September 4 1977) is New Found Glory's bassist.
Grushka grew up with his parents Donald and Tina Grushka, and his two older brothers Jarett and Nevin Grushka, who run the record label JMB Record$. A big fan of Britney Spears, Grushka usually performs barechested on stage, claiming if he wears a shirt while performing it gets moldy. Grushka is slightly overweight — therefore likes to humorously refer to himself as "190 lbs of pimp" — and suffers from aviophobia.
In 2004, he established the record label Broken Sounds (named after a song off New Found Glory's Nothing Gold Can Stay), along with bandmate Chad Gilbert. Its roster currently includes hardcore bands Internation Superheroes of Hardcore, Righteous Jams and Suffocate Faster.
On December 29 2001, Grushka married his long-term girlfriend Stormy Freeman, whom he met in a bagel parlor before joining New Found Glory. On September 14 2005, their son Oliver Layne Grushka was born. Grushka and his wife were divorced in October 2010.
Cyrus Bolooki
[edit]Cyrus William Bolooki (born February 27 1980) is New Found Glory's drummer.
Bolooki grew up in Hollywood, Florida, where he attended Chaminade-Madonna College Prep. He has a younger brother named Andrew, who played guitar in the now defunct pop punk band All That's Left.
Replacing Joe Moreno in December 1997, Bolooki is the only non-orginal member and is therefore considered "the new guy" by his bandmates, despite his being a part of New Found Glory for all these years. He joined the band after they heard him at a talent show while he was playing for fun in the band HOMOMOFO. Prior to that, Bolooki played in the band Splurge.
He is the sole member of New Found Glory who endorses his own signature equipment: Personalized Vater drum sticks called "Cyrus Bolooki's Commander".
