Brisingida are an order of sea stars containing about 100 species.

They usually have between 6 and 16 arms, which are long and attenuated and used for suspension feeding. The Brisingida contains about 100 species in 17 genera and 6 families. [1]

They occur all around the globe, but most Brisingida populations are concentrated around Hawaiʻi, the Gulf of Mexico, New Zealand, and the Philippines.[2]
