Umesh Verma, born 27 April 1971 at Sabalgarh, Madhya Pradesh is an Indian politician, social worker and former bureaucrat. Contested legislative assembly election from Agra in 2017. He worked as Postmaster General in Haryana and served as Colonel in in the Indian Army at Srinagar. He was given Meghdoot Award for outstanding Postal administration by the President of India during 2004. Currently he is working for conservation of water and active in politics in MP and UP. He also promoting lawn tennis as chairman of Agra lawn tennis association
Born to a Simple family of Madhya Pradesh, Umesh was an outstanding student since childhood. He started primary education in Saraswati Shishu mandir. He stood first in the class with distinction. As enthusiastic sports person, he received several trophies in Badminton, Cricket, table tennis, chess and Lawn Tennis.
