From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hello Again,

After a long sabbatical, I have returned. It was unfortunate that I had to leave when and as I did some many moons ago... but that's the way life is.

Wow. The Urantia Book article has blossomed. And it is much, much more respectable now. OMG as they say on the net these days.

That article went from pure &(*^*^%^ to a real article reaching toward the truth of the matter found within the pages of The Urantia Book. I still see some misinformation, some sentence construction that is sincerely trying to portray the truth but doesn't, in the article, but there is so much less of it and there is much less ridiculous claims about it than what was there last year... sometimes while helping to write the article about TUB here at Wikipedia, I would just have to either cry or cringe or roll my eyes into my head... at the unbelieveable misinformation and misrepresentations people would write here to portray that book and use Wikipedia rules to back up their unfair use and wrongful opinions of poor readers who managed to publish disinformation about TUB as though their opinions were right and worth quoting here in an encyclopedic article. Insane sometimes, it really was.

Wow. Congrats to all hard working writers and READERS of TUB. It's not such a hard book, it's just long, and factual ~ and there is not publiched source mateiral to quote from, save from one terrible reader, a skeptic, who was sincere, I'll give him that, but who was, in effect, way off base overall.

Signing off saying "I'm Looking to help clarify what's actually in the book for the article..." and that's just it... what's in there is verifiable!

Hi!

I am a middle aged, married with kids, American!

I found Wikipedia by accident on the internet while doing a google search a couple of years ago. I didn't stick around very long at that time.

Then, a couple of months ago, I was looking for an article on The Urantia Book and found one here - in Wikipedia. I had not perused this site since the first time and became more impressed as I continued to read and learn about it.

I've been helping with the article about The Urantia Book (TUB) ever since and have come to enjoy the many ways in which one can use Wikipedia. I've made a few small edits here and there throughout the various links which stemmed from TUB, but I've made my share of mistakes and fixes while doing it! I try to stick to the article for now, but will be happy to try to help if something catches my eye.

I have discovered that a lot of people writing articles have very set notions and opinions. Writers sometimes seem to "own" their articles and sometimes have a difficult time accepting changes in them. But as Wikipedia would have us do, I believe in fairness, objectivity, and NPOV without bias. Though achieving that is not always easy it is a great exercise in learning how to get along and accomplish a good article.

I speak English as a first language and a tiny bit of Spanish which is nothing to brag about. As I learn some of the templates, I plan to improve this page, but the article takes more of my time.

If you want to contact me please use my "talk" page.

Welcome!
