The Korail Class 391000 is a commuter train of the Seobu Metropolitan Railway introduced for operation on the Seohae Line metropolitan subway. A total of 7 trains (28 units) of 4-car sets introduced from August 17 to November 3, 2017 for the opening of the first stage. In the future, with the opening of the Sosa–Daegok Line, 10 additional trains (40 units) of 4-car sets will be introduced.[1]
Technical Specifications[edit]
Interior[edit]
The Korail Class 391000 train interior is the same as the Korail Class 371000, but there is a slight difference as it's a transitional type to the snout.
Driving equipment[edit]
The Korail Class 391000 has a wider driver's window than the front of existing vehicles, slightly changed shape to improve vision, and is equipped with a CCTV monitor and an RF-CBTC speedometer, an automatic driving system from Siemens, to enable one-person operation.
Generations[edit]
1st generation[edit]
The first generation was introduced on June 16, 2018 for the opening of the first phase section. At the beginning of its introduction, a gray and navy blue livery was used, but over time, it is currently running in green and light green livery.
2nd generation[edit]
The second generation is being introduced in preparation for the opening of the second phase section on January 31, 2023. Unlike the first generation, the frontal appearance and livery were different, and single arm pantograph was adopted. It is produced in Dasys.
