No I shall not do it again. But it was a claer misunderstanding; you thought two of my articles, being two of Kermanshahi's!

It is cool, I knew whose articles they were, I was asking kermanshi to assist you in fixing up the grammer. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 13:59, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

where did you want to talk about? I also gave you a star bytheway. Kermanshahi 14:30, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

About the articles itself; did you liked 'em. One of them is about the History of Iran, you know, the one from the Bavand Dynasty. The other is about Dirus Rijkers, the naval hero. He was partly Iranian, I believe I heard that somewhere. Oh, and I am going to join the Iran project. -)-(-Haggawaga (|-|) Oegawagga-)-(- 14:33, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Do you have any references for these articles? It is very important that you provide where you got your information from. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 14:34, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

These references allready stand on the Dutch wikipedia (on the Dorus Rijkers article is a link allready), and on the Bavand Dynasty is also a link at the article overhere, -)-(-Haggawaga (|-|) Oegawagga-)-(- 14:36, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

So you think you can beat that? The Honorable Kermanshahi 14:36, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

Haggawaga - Oegawagga

I have added some references to the Pier Gerlofs Donia article that I have used in the past and are relevant to information mentioned in this article. Are you sure about the ancestoral line Haring Donia to the Galama family. My genealogy research indicates that Haring was related to the Galama family through the marriage of his granddaughter Trijn to Gale Yges Galama. Of course it is possible that Haring Donia could have a Galama grandparent, I just have not found info to support this.. if you have this info I would love to see it.... as Haring Donia is my Great Great...grandparent and I am a decendant of Pier Gerlof Donias sister Tijdt.

Ezza Ezza61 12:56, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks a lot! I'll give you some sources within a few days! It is great to have a decendant of the great Donian and Galama-families on this site! I find it highly intersting to hear his; the ancestor-related thing. And I feel flatterned to hear your compliments. -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 15:24, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

By the way great article on Ygo III Galama. I put the article in on Ygo Gales Galama sometime ago, now he is not so lonely.

Ezza Ezza61 12:56, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

Haggawaga - Oegawagga Forgot to mention I have added sometime ago an article on Jancko Douwama, another famous Frisian and also a relative of Pier Gerlofs ... you may wish to incorporate this article as well. Ezza Ezza61 04:35, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Dorus-1-.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Dorus-1-.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:27, 17 April 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. howcheng {chat} 17:27, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

I have given sources, and fixed the image's summary, thanks for mentioning me! Greetings, -)-(-Haggawaga (|-|) Oegawagga-)-(- 17:39, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

I don't see it on that site. Can you give the exact URL of the page? It's framed, so if you have IE, right-click and pick properties to get the URL. If you are using Firefox, right-click and pick "This Frame" and then View Frame Info. With regards to Did You Know, please stop adding it to Next Update -- your hook is too long and the article needs to be scrutinized by the DYK admins before it can go on the Main Page. Thanks. howcheng {chat} 17:56, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

Hello. DYK

[edit]

As far as I can tell, the article you wrote did not get included on todays Did You Know (DYK) section. If it did, the administrator that updated it would have notified you and left a template on your talk page notifying you. First off, it is bad form, to include articles you created in the DYK/Next Update page, put it on the templates talk page where proposals are viewed and slected by administrators. Also, make sure your article meets the DYK requirements. Third of all, I reccomend removing the DYK tag from your userpage until the article actually gets shown! Good luck. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 17:57, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

I have a little bit of experience with the DYK section, i have had several articles featured there. Your "hook" as it is called was WAY too long. I shortened it so that the readers could get the main idea of what he was really known for. You dont want to be too speciifc or over wiki link in DYK nomination. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 18:27, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for helping me -)-(-Haggawaga (|-|) Oegawagga-)-(- 18:29, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

Dorus Rijkers

[edit]
Updated DYK query On 17 April, 2007, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Dorus Rijkers, which you created and substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.
--howcheng {chat} 19:02, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

I'll do that, Howcheng! -)-(-Haggawaga (|-|) Oegawagga-)-(- 19:04, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

Good job on the DYK. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 19:12, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

I would reccomend replacing the DYK notices that you placed on your userpage with the template that Howcheng put on your talk page. Just copy and paste it. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 19:19, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

Well, okay than. I'll do that. -)-(-Haggawaga (|-|) Oegawagga-)-(- 19:20, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

DYK Next Update

[edit]

Hi, I have removed your nomination for Arumer Black Heap. Please do not add your entries directly to Template:Did you know/Next update. Instead, please add them to the correct location "Articles created on [date]" at Template talk:Did you know so that it can inspected. Thanks. howcheng {chat} 06:22, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

Thats okay to me! Sorry, that I've forgotten the procedure. I'll await the reactions on the article, and see what happens, right? -)-(-Haggawaga (|-|) Oegawagga-)-(- 06:35, 18 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi, after I asked you above to not add your article to the Next Update, you went and did it again. Please refrain from doing so. For one thing, it is considered bad form to move your own articles to the Next Update, especially because you're new to DYK. I'll admit to doing that myself, but I've been doing DYK for a while so I'm a trusted user. Also, there are a number of other articles in the queue before yours, so we are going to spotlight those first. Lastly, after having looked at Arumer Black Heap, I noticed that the article has no references, so there's no way it can be featured on DYK right now. Please add sources to the article and please be patient -- assuming it meets all the criteria, it will be picked. Regards, howcheng {chat} 16:45, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
My friend, DYK is about patience. If you created the article well, and have a good hook, it will eventually get there. If you would like an second opinion about a hook, feel free to let me know. However, please do not re-add your own DYK to the next update. I, even though I am an administrator and could add mine to anywhere I want, choose not to because of the obvious conflict of interest. IF you have any questions, please feel free to let me know. Thanks! -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 17:09, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
I understand your point and opinion. I'm allready gald to have one did you know?-article; the second one can wait a while longer -)-(-Haggawaga (|-|) Oegawagga-)-(- 14:38, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
Yep, I remeber my first DYK, I was very excited about it! That is why I kept contributing to it. Good luck and if you need any help or have any questions about something, please feel free to ask. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 14:39, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

I'll do just that! Thanks! -)-(-Haggawaga (|-|) Oegawagga-)-(- 14:40, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Better source request for Image:Dorus-1-.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Dorus-1-.jpg. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talkpage. Thank you. howcheng {chat} 16:14, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

You are right. It won't happen again. -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 15:28, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

Hello H.O. You are an ethusiastic contributor, but in this historical article you have made a number of edits containing assumptions for which there is no proof (e.g. we do not know for sure that the helmet and sword kept in Fryslân actually belonged to Pier. In addition, we do not know his actual height or weight (The height you suggest is highly unlikely, since the tallest man alive today is only 2,36 m and all men of such extreme size and weight suffer from health problems that make them of little use in battle). And we cannot say for a fact that he lifted a horse, that is just legend). You should therefore rewrite these things in terms of assumptions and not as factual claims (for the latter citations would be required). Have you asked the Fries Museum for the actual weight of the sword, or are you just guessing? Most sources give 6.6 kg as weight (Swords were not as heavy as you might think and a sword weighing 24 kg would be useless in battle even for a very strong man). (Paaskynen 12:13, 25 April 2007 (UTC))

Well, lets say it's 7 kg, okay, thats' also what the Fries Museum says. I went there, 'cause I live in the Netherlands myself, an I went there once. That is more reliable and realistic. And the height of this man is just a guess, and needs to be brought up as a guess, not like a fact. The horse-lifting legend needs to be kept, but not as a fact, but a legend. So I'll rearrange these things, allmost all of 'em, from facts into assunptions\legends. Thanks for telling me, and I'll think twice before adding assuntions and legends as being facts. Thanks for telling me, and goodbye.

-)-(-Haggawaga (|-|) Oegawagga-)-(- 13:49, 25 April 2007 (UTC)

In the two images you provide of Piers he is not wielding a zweihander. In the painting he is wielding a much smaller sword and the statue shows a sword design inconsistent with all other scholarship on swords of that era. I assume that the sculptor has taken considerable artistic license, as the statue is clearly highly stylized. Is there any evidence that the sword in the Frisian museum is not a bearing sword[1]. The consensus amongst the Historical Europeans Swordsmanship community is that such swords were purely decorative. As such you must provide references to that particular sword actually being used in battle. Mercutio.Wilder 17:47, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Well, he did used a 2,15 meter long sword in battle. It is not particulary known if this sword is a Zweihander; it could be another type 'o blade. But I wasn't the one who added the Zweihander-type balde on the articles-page in first instant; someone else did. If he would have said longsword, for example, I would have putten Piers' name on that page; is just a must to have that man mentioned on the page, for wielding suvh an enormous blade of a type which is Zweihander, or at least something very similiar to it. -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 18:17, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

copyedit tag

[edit]

Hi there, I was wondering why you removed the copyedit tag from Touch the Clouds. I think it is a good article but it needs alot of work on grammer, sentence structure and tone, all things that WP:LoCE can and will do if the tag is there to put it on their list. I think I am correct that perhaps English is not your first language and it might be difficult to see the things that need to be changed. This is not a criticism of you or the article, it is just a way to improve it. you can continue to add more information and then let someone from LoCE go over it to improve the language, but the tag does need to be there. Thanks!--killing sparrows (chirp!) 20:31, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

I see your right, now. The tag needs to be there. Thanks for telling my! -)-(-Haggawaga (|-|) Oegawagga-)-(- 20:34, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

I see you have created other articles here on Wikipedia, Thanks! After you create them you could add the same tag, {{copyedit}} (without the tl| ), and then the article would go on the list for the copyedit group to work on. The list is long and it may be a while before it gets fixed but someone will eventually work on it. Thanks again for the work you do!--killing sparrows (chirp!) 21:04, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

I've created any articles. Watch the list on my user-page, and see if ou can improvespelling on some of 'em. Most of my articles are pretty good; watch the Dorus Rijkers article, for example! -)-(-Haggawaga (|-|) Oegawagga-)-(- 21:07, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

Your recent edit to Rescue of the Renown, 1888 included one or more links to the page Dutch, which is a disambiguation page. This type of page is intended to direct users to more specific topics. Ordinarily we try to avoid creating links to disambiguation pages, since it is preferable to link directly to the specific topic relevant to the context. Okay, right to he point: you said you wnated stars, and you can get 'em. In order to be not in troubvle, I wanted to do it silently. And not right now. I should see; within a week or some, you'll have yourself a new star. But I want one in return for it. Public Domain Picture Tagging

[edit]

Can you give me the location where you got Image:Supriatna, 1967.JPG. Did you take the picture of the individual yourself? If you did not, it is quite possible the image is not in the public domain. When tagging images as being in the public domain, please give a rationale for such tagging. I.E., you took the photo or created the work yourself, the copyright has expired, it is ineligible for copyright, etc etc. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 12:20, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

The copyright has expired, about two years ago. And yes, I've pictured the amn myself, when visiting Indonesia with some of my family. It now is for free use, and anyone is permtted to use the image for educational progress and goals, in order to give the world knowledge of this mostly respectable man; -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 12:23, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Please add citations or references to back up assertions you make in your article. Please read WP:CITE to learn how to cite. If you are really going to write excellent articles, there is NO way you can do it without properly citing. I have fixed much of the article, and requested citations beside certain assertions. As well, please be carefull when adding material into an already cited passage. Adding material without proper citations in an already cited passage may make it look like and part of what you added came from a citation where it did not. I cannot stress the importance of properly citing. IF material is not properly cited, it can be deleted as orignial research. I am assuming good faith and would like to see you start citing your additions. Thanks. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 16:14, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

I shall start citing very soon, Chris, and I do see your point. -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 16:15, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Please also take the time to read through your posts before submitting, as well as read up on the . There is no need for a section heading with only 1 line under it. Likewise, there is not always the need for section headings unless there is a logical ctouping of content. I.E., "lucifer" is not a very helpful heading. If there were several paragraphs on his nickname, where he got it, why it was given to him, then it might warrant a section heading "nickname" but otherwise, it is best to not. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 16:17, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

I might expand the section later. Untill now, you are right at this point; the section is to short to have a title even bigger than the text under it, itself! -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 16:20, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Bleach duplicate article AFD

[edit]

I see you filed an AfD, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bleach (anime series), for a duplicate copy of the Bleach (manga) page. While this was better than just leaving it to sit, a more efficient course of action would be to have simply replaced the page with a redirect to the existing article on the subject instead of making everyone wait a week.

I would be willing to fix this and redirect the page now, but I thought it would be better to get your agreement first. Would you be willing to withdraw the AfD so that the page can be redirected instead? If so, just say so either here or on my talk page or at the AfD itself. I'll deal with the closing templates, redirection, and the off chance of taking bureaucratic flak for not going exactly by the book. --tjstrf talk 07:56, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

You might feel to contract Murlock, who created the page. But by my opinion, it is better to merge with the otherpage and redirect, yes. Thanks for asking my! -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 09:03, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Possibly Copyrighted Images

[edit]

I tagged two of your uploaded images as possible infringes of copyright (Image:Grutte Pier (Pier Gerlofs Donia), 1622, book illustration.JPG) and Image:Piers%27_helm%2C_ann_1987_in_Sneek%2C_Frisia.jpg). You deleted this tags without waiting for an administrator to resolved this issue. I have added them again and I ask you to leave them there until the issue is resolved. Pmviersen 12:20, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

Well, now I might. It ain't proper wiki-etiquette just to tag my uploaded images wthout telling the uploader! Mind it! And yes, I shall not delete them. Yet. -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 14:08, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

May be it isn't proper wiki-etiquette. But removing the tags and moving this page to another page, so it is no longer visible certainly is no proper wiki-etiquette! But thank you for leaving them this time. Pmviersen 09:26, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi. I came across the above article at Chris' talk page. It's extremely interesting. Would you mind if I went through the article to correct some instances of grammar which need attention? I also know how to reference, but will leave that to Chris. Let me know. Best wishes. Ref (chew)(do) 23:06, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

No, I wouldn't! I'd really like you to correct it, if you'd like, because my knowledge of English-gramma ain't very good. So, know you know! Feel feel to improve whatever you think needs to be improved, but try not to be to radical; I'd like to see most of it intact. Thanks for offering your help; it is certainly welcome, and that wayI wish you the bset of luck! -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 06:06, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
Not radical in the slightest - it's just spelling and formation of words into proper English sentences - no vast content changes. I will have a go later (after the English FA Cup Final - I used to be referenten/a referee!). Best wishes. Ref (chew)(do) 13:22, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

OK, the grammar, spelling and punctuation are now done. Some of the claims made in the article will never be proved by references. I can tell you which ones if you would like, but I think I have done enough for now. Good luck with the rest of it. Ref (chew)(do) 19:39, 19 May 2007 (UTC)

Ezza's great message

By the way great article on Ygo III Galama. I put the article in on Ygo Gales Galama sometime ago, now he is not so lonely.

Ezza Ezza61 12:56, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks a lot! I'll give you some sources within a few days! It is great to have a decendant of the great Donian and Galama-families on this site! I find it highly intersting to hear his; the ancestor-related thing. And I feel flatterned to hear your compliments. -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 15:24, 22 May 2007 (UTC)

Haggawaga - Oegawagga

Sorry to point out the obvious but seems to me your article on Ygo III Galama is coming under a bit of scrutiny because of some obvious errors/inaccuracies that you should fix asap before others do.

1. Genealogy research indicates Ygo died in Antioch in 1099 (which was 'after' the siege of Antioch I believe) but he certainly did not die in circa 1198 (your article: born 1139, died at age 59) which was well after the first crusade.

2. The references you have quoted appear to be cut and paste from Ygo Gales Galama article, those references do not mention Ygo III Galama only Ygo Gales Galama. Langenberg Genealogy and Holkema Genealogy refers to Ygo III Galama as Ygo Joukes Galama and only mentions his death and burial in 1099 at Antioch.

3. I am very suspect about the ancestory of Pier Gerlofs Donia and Haring Harinxma to Ygo III Galama ... I do not think they are related. You should fix this on your Pier Gerlofs Donia article as well.

Sorry about the bad news but if its not accurate its not worth recording. Like I said, if in doubt leave it out.

Ezza

Fair use rationale for Image:Grutte Pier as been seen in Floris (serie).JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Grutte Pier as been seen in Floris (serie).JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ilse@ 13:19, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Your joke edits to my user page

[edit]

I smiled when I found out that I was of Frisian ancestry, but other users might not find it so funny. I suggest that you remove the userbox from the other userpages where you put it in order not to bother people. If you like to play jokes on other users, a better way is to leave a message on the user talk page saying: "I hereby appoint you king of the Frisians!" and adding the userbox. Cheers! User pages edits

Someone is vandalising my user and user talk-page; stop it, please, have the bastards banned! -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 08:05, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Sure, but I'm refering to your edits of user pages. It looks as if, in certain instances, you identify the ethnicity or nationality of other users on their userpages with userboxes — seemingly without consent. How do you account for these edits? El_C 08:11, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

People who speak Dutch, contribute to Dutch articles and are members to Dutch wiki, are Dutch-sers. Same goes (even more ) for the Frisian users (Frisian is hard to understand for no-frisians). -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 08:13, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

That notwithstanding, are you positive that you have the consent of each user to identify them as such? El_C 08:19, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

I can add uch templates to their pages. When they don't like 'em, they can delete 'em. Is that a valid answer? -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 08:26, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

I'm afraid not. You can tell them about this or that userbox on their talk pages, but not add them to userpages without consent. Thanks. El_C 08:32, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

I'll keep this in mind, El_C, and no longer do this. -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 10:46, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks again. El_C 08:59, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

I'm afraid I can't block anyone. I'm not an admin. It does look like they have vandalized your page, which means you should leave a warning, possible starting with {{subst:uw-upv1}} and moving up through uw-upv4 on their talk page. If they continue vandalizing after being warned, report it to WP:AIV. What you shouldn't be doing is logging out and leaving inappropriate messages on their talk page and vandalizing their user page in retaliation. --OnoremDil 09:25, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Another note after looking through your contributions. You appear to be editing quite a few other people's user pages. It's my experience that most people do not like that. The vandalism on your own userpage might be happening partly because of that. I suggest you stay away from other user pages completely for a while and see if that helps. --OnoremDil 09:46, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

remain cool!. He has attempted to write good articles. He may not understand how the wiki way works. Furthermore, remeber that you do not own your userpage. Nonsensisical edits while annoying are not necessarily cause for blocking. Plus, they are not active now. Show me where he is activley vandalising a main space article or causing serious harm to this project. Look at it in the big picture, he is making a few annoying edits. There are disruptive editors that creat 100's of sock puppets a day to vandalise 1000's of times. Just calm down a bit! 14:58, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

It looks like this user has already been blocked on 30 May for 24 hours. The user has not made any more edits since the block expired, so I don't feel that s/he needs to be blocked again. Let me know if you continue to have problems with this user. ~ Amalas rawr =^_^= 15:34, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

You are really sometimed behaeving like a "kjellebolle" (= calf-bull) Wikipedia likes it a bit professional, the fun part is only on the "my talk" pages. But better is it to spent time on completing articles. Specially Frisian history, which has been hidden for many, there is something to do. cheers, Bornestera 19:51, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

All in dutch, hope ye'can read it, Got some more, but only in hardcopy and on my HDD, For example: Ygo Youkes Galama or Igo Galama was knighted by king Godfried in 1096, he was onder command of Peter den Heremiet on his way to the holy land. This has been written by Occo Scarlensis,in 1597: Croniicke, ende warachtige beschryvinghe van Vrieslant.... Enough proof that also this Igo deserves a place in Wikipedia. Quote:In 1096 trokken Tjepke Forleman , Jarich Ludigman, Epo, Hartmanen Igo Galama, Frederik Botnia, Eelko en Sicko Lijauckama en Obbe Hessels Hermana, onder Peter den Heremiet, naar hetH. land en waren bij de graven zeer gezien. Not that I understand your request, but I have contacted Chrislk02 per your request. I note that you do not comment on the block rationale, specifically that you are a sock of a vandal editor. Sandstein 14:58, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

I am not a sock of any other editor on this site. I've got over 1700 edits, and your accusing me of being the sockpuppet of a vandalising editor and troublemaker who has got nothing more than 200 edits, most of all nonsense? It just doesn't make any sense, this thing! I've done a lot of good things for this site. I've expanded many biography article, created lot, (even one DYK- article), and improved a lot also. Ands I've uploaded\created many images for the illustration of many articles. I don't think, you help wikipedia by banning\blocking a good contributor, because I am now forced to quit my good work. I know, I sometimes did small vandalism, but nothing major, nor worse enough to block a man from editing for it. So please, consider to take a closer look at my activities in the past, and all the good things did, not only the bad ones. I've worked with many editors who can say nothing than good about me as an editor\contributor (and some might say the opposite). Please, think about it. Greetings,

Unblocked

[edit]
I have unblocked you. I and several other editors will be wathcing you though so make sure that your actions are above reproach. If an article is nominated for articles for deletion, please follow the rules regarding it. This means do not get a bunch of friends where you work to log on and vote keep. This is known as meatpuppetry. Similarly, do not create alternate accounts to pad the votes. It will be found it. This is known as sockpupperty. I know that your article creation is in good faith which is why I am going to bat here for you. Please do not let me down. If you have any questions ASK before you do it. NExt time you get blocked I will not go to bat for you like I am now. Thanks and good luck. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 23:01, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for helping me, Chris. I'm really glad with you; you saved my account from being blocked! I wasn't even hoping that to happen; I thaught you would give my block a expiry-time, but you lifted the whole thing! Thanks, again, thanks a lot! And the articles which where deleted while I was bkocked from edititing; thanks for restoring those! You are right about the meatpuppeting; I didn't know that, but now I do (as you might have noticed, I don't knew all the rules yet, but I'm reading 'em again soon!). you have made me a very happy user, and I'll possibly never ever forget this. The other blocked users remain blocked, except for Kermashahi, who was obviously not a sock, but a good user having the wrong contacts. Now, finally, things are made up, and I can't thank you enough. But I think, I now did. Most honourabl greetings, from;

Changing the meaning of userboxes

[edit]

Please, in the future, be more careful changing userbox templates as you did to Template:user Dutch-ancestry2 (then named Template:user Dutch, whose redirect I just changed to Template:user Dutch-ancestry). Saying that one is of Dutch ancestry is not necessarily saying that you are proud of it (which I am indifferent on), and certainly not that one is a nationalist (which I personally consider an insult). I only noticed the changes today, and I can imagine there are plenty of other people in my situation, so I changed the redirect to a more neutral template.

Thanks, László 10:58, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

I personally think this isn't right. Other templates also mention users to be proud of ther ancestry. And I don't see any point in don't be proud. That isn't nationalism, no even radical patriotism; its pride. Thats my opinion. -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 12:50, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Thats not your call. There can be templates for both. Please try to refrain from controversial actions such as that. Just because you are proud of your ancestry does not mean that everybody is like you. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 13:16, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Sadly, not in things like this. In others...

Never mind. I'll quit doing things like this. But I did this template-improvements before this block, weeks ago.

-)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 13:18, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

I am just saying, in general try to asvoid controversial actions. If you have a question if what you are about to do and how controversial it might be, feel free to ask me. Good luck. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 13:20, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

I currently am well aware of what is controversial and what isn't. Back then, when I made the template-edits, I wasn't. Still, your offer is a friendly one. I don't see any arm in my edits from the past. But when I'm not sure about something, then I'll feel fee to ask! -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 13:23, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

What was this

[edit]

What was the point of this and then a quick removal of the warning for doing it? -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 13:27, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

I was well aware of what I was doing. Someone restored that text back to a version by 'emself, and I than re-added that with my version of it -- adding just one section to it, but still. I was still working at it, and the bot did his re-adding to soon. Nothing major. Nothing wrong. Really. And off course, I than remove that bot-placed message! -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 13:31, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

specific pages refs are required - specially if there is little mention in the indexes :) SatuSuro 13:40, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks, Haggawaga - that would be good. He seems interesting. I've been working on a few Indonesian National Revolution articles (including Indonesian National Revolution and any more specific references would be useful. You seem to have done a lot of work on this article - nice one. :) I'm now working on Amir_Sjarifuddin - check it out. happy editing. Merbabu 13:43, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

You might search on google, but I'm not sure what you'll find. I can tell you, that I took the picture of the rebel Supriata myself. It was in the summer of 1967, that I saw him in Indonesia when on a trip to land (I was a sailorman and worked with the engine of a transport-ship). Indonesia than was allready independant for over 10 years (oficially since 1949), and so he wasn't a rebel back than. He looked older han he was, around 55 years old, but you could see he lived trough tough life. He agreed with me taking a picture of him. Its not the only one; I believe, I might have some pictures of which I'm standing next to Supriata. Does that provide enough information for the moment. I am the number one specialist about him on this wikipedia, I suppose, although my knowledge of Indonesian history itself might be less great. e image itself is higly styled; I'm not sure, but maybe its oiginally in colour. Anyway, thanks for your interest, SatuSuro. -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 13:47, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Wow, how did you meet him? Where? I read somewhere that two of his children are now actually MPs in the Indonesian parliament. But 23 children, that's incredible. My wife knows someone from West Timor - she is one of 19. Merbabu 14:06, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Well, I think I meeted him. He wasn't called Melano Supriatna, and I believe Supriata was just a nickname, as he told me. But I couldn't move the page, because a redirection page was allready made. I didn't started the article, at first. That was Kermanshahi's work. I was a sailorman, as I said. -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 14:10, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

I am just a bit curious why you cite anderson and there is not single mention of him in that book - and you do not specifically identify place of birth. To me it suggests lack of reasonable third party sources - I dont care whether you claim to be an expert on him or whatever - it verges on lack of reliable sources when I cannot find anything in the ref that you claim has something on him. If I were you - I would be very very careful what you say next - as so far it is not adding up to sustain the article - I would strongly suggest that you need something other than your personal experience - or 'number one specialist'. If you have any good sense you find something that actually names the person. SatuSuro 14:15, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

You might ask Kermanshahi; he started the article at first. -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 14:17, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Can't you tell us? You tell us you are the 'expert' and you contributed to 90% + of the article's information and provided the two references. [2]. Merbabu 14:23, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

It was a long time ago, so I don't now much right now. I'm getting older. But I did not add those refernces, I believe. As I told you, my account is also used by others, and I think someone else might have edited and contributed nonsense to the article. All I know, is that he was a former rebel. I went on shore, of the ship I worked as an engineer, and visisted a small town, a bit more inland. I can't give you an exact location right now; I must search for that. I know, that heir was a man in his mid fifty's when I met him, and that he was called Supriata, and enormously respected by the town folks. He agreed to be pictured by me, with my captains' camera, because I saw that the man was important, or at least used to be famous somedays. Thats how I got the picture. The text? I really don't know. -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 14:27, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

I'm going now, to my lill' sailboat in Haren, Groningen, near the Paterswoldsemeer. I might come back online in the evening. -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 14:34, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Work with the people who are requesting references and if you keep claiming that "my grandson" or soembody else used my account, we will have no other choice than to block you. Image:Dorus-1-.jpg

[edit]

I have not tagged this image yet, but it also concerns me. This image needs a source, and the author + 100 years is only applicable if the artist died within a couple years of painting it.

I'm not going to go through the rest of your uploads at the moment, but please go back and check to make sure you have provided a valid source and licensing image for these pictures. --OnoremDil 11:33, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

It is beliueved that Melano Supriatna is a hoax article. I know you have written several valid articles in the past so I am wondering if you may have spelled his name wrong? Please tell us where you got this information. Word of mouth, stories you have heard from others or pesronal experiences do not qualify as appropriate references because they are all orignial research. If you cannot provide reliable sources, the article will most likley be deleted. When I start writing an article, the FIRST thing I do is make sure i have a source to write from. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 12:04, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Chris, at what point to we stop pretending the AGF? Haggawaga - Oegawagga gave two authoritative books as sources; but we have shown this was bogus editing. I think we are beyond pretending AGF here. His edit is knowingly false. He then deliberately mislead us over the last 24 hours. Interesting that this article as been edited by editors that check user confirms as one. Ocking Jayat Mayaj is another apparently bogus article with the same 'gang' all editing. What's going on? Merbabu 12:26, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Final Warning

[edit]

Next time you create an article without references, or we find that you created an article with false references, or you upload copyrighted material as being in the public domain you will be blocked. I do not want to have to do this but these acteions are VERY disruptive and damaging to this project. It takes large amounts of time to be sorting these issues out, time that could be best used elsewhere. Thanks -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 12:39, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

I see you didn't have that much to do with this one. Do you think it is just more User:Murlock nonsense? He uses the same references you used for the Melano, at least one of which is false. Merbabu 13:48, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

I don't know User:Murlock that well. Considering his blocking, he doesn't seem a good editor. His talk page is protected, as I've seen while trying to contact him. Unprotect the thing, and send him a message. He seems to know more; He claims t be related to the man himself!. But my opinion; its a hoax. I'd say; keep. For now... -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 21:29, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

So you think it is a hoax, but we should keep it. hmmm. Merbabu 01:11, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
...and you did actually start it which suggests a connection with Murlock. The historys of these two hoaxes that you were 'both' involved with are extremely similar. Merbabu 08:04, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Never mind. Redirect 'em both to Indonesian National Revolution, instead of just deleting 'em. And considercontacting Murlock himself, okay? I am not in the position to decide to keep articles or to delete 'em. I think, I'd better leave that to the admins. Understood? I just don't want to say "Go ahead, delete it", and it seems to be veriable after all, or "Well, keep it", and it shows up t be nonsense. So, I ain't touchin' this one! In my personal opinion, however, I advice to tell the articles original creators first. -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 08:49, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

The point is you were the 'original creator'. Merbabu 08:53, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Oh. I just redirect it, because I thaught it was nonsense having a redlink to a non-excisting person. In any case, it would have been an insult to the man himself having a vandalising youngster claiming to be related to him. So I redirected it to an article I than was more sure about its truthfulness. Still, I wasn't he creator of an article; I was the creator of an redirect; he later created the article of he man he is related to (according to him). Te events he mentioned in the article, seemed to be realistic, but nonetheless, the man can't be verified to have excisted. Same goes for my article (not much more than vague claimes and an old picture). I now accerpt any choices you make. Whether o delete or to keep it; its all up to you. -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 09:02, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Bias

[edit]

Alright. :-) As you might already know, this is an encyclopedia, and we must adhere to our NPOV policy. Now that we've set this straight, there are many sentences in both articles that violate this policy and are written in a biased tone. Yes, I know he might be considered a legend, but writing that someone is a legend without citing reliable (and neutral) references is considered bias and even original research. Also you can't say that "he was given a funeral that was so grand that it resembled a state funeral in size and style."; it's not a fact. You might rephrase it as "People attending the funeral described it as grand, with some comparing to a state funeral." Other sentences like "In the waters where he served, he saved such large number of people with such effectiveness that the survival statistics increased dramatically," "At the end of his career, although he remained active, his role became more symbolic in nature," "Dorus Rijkers had become a national hero and was by far the most popular Dutchman of those years," and "To have wielded such a weapon he must have been a man of unusual stature and physical strength" are not neutral. While the facts might be true, they are not confirmed and verified by any sources. Also, the articles have lots of praise but very few, or even no, criticisms. Cheers, Anas talk? 19:52, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Oh gosh, dear, you'll kill me for taking four days to get back to you! The next time we find a source that is used falsley, you will be blocked. This is not to scare you, or give you paranoia, however to remind you to think carefully about what you do. before I write any article, I make sure I have at least 2 reliable sources. I often buy books, search books.google.com and other areas for reliable sources. Thanks and good luck. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 14:27, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

I know you're right. But I created this users' page when he'd just started, and he liked that. He later improved it. I now improved it even more, but now, he disliked it. Shit happened, but it won't any longer. -)-(-H- (|-|) -O-)-(- 12:37, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
