Professor P Unnikrishnan Kallil is a well - known author in malayalam. He,a retired professor in malayalam wrote about fifteen books including three novels. He has authoured several academic books and critical works.He also composed many beautiful poems in his early days.

Attappadi Adivasikalude Devabhumi : His first book, Attappadi Adivasikalude Devabhumi, is a comprehensive study of the Irula tribe, a tribal group in Kerala. It is unique that he used the information collected directly from the tribal villages for its writing.

Kshobikunavante Padappurappad : His critical work Kshobikunavante Padappurappad is a detailed study of the plays of the famous dramatist N.N Pillai[1]

Kalathinte Arangukal : The book Kalathinte Arangukal is a study of the plays of another famous dramatist Thoppil Bhasi[2], which also unweils the historical background of that time.

Kakkanadan - Parushyathinte Kanalattangal : It is an authoritative study of 23 novels by a famous malayalam writer Kakkanadan[3]

Basheerinte Jeevithadarshanam : This book is a work that goes down to the important moments of the life of the famous malayalam author Vaikom Muhammed Basheer. It pictures the real self of Basheer[4]

Sthree Sangalpam Basheerkritikalil : The book reveals the position given to women by through the characteristics of the women depicted in Basheer's stories.

Ormanilavum njnum : Service Story.

Ha pushpame... : It is a composition commemorating the 100th anniversary of Kumaranashan's [5] Veenapoovu[6].

Manavikathayude Arangukal : It is a study of K.T Muhammed's[7] plays.

Kalapathinte Rangabhashyam : It is a study of P.J Antony's[8] plays.

M.K Gandhi : A summary of Gandhiji's 'The story of my Experiments with Truth'[9].

Oru Mayilpeelithundinte Hridayasparsham : A study of malayalam poems on Lord Krishna.
