I'm creating a user page, not sure what is appropriate.

I'm 82, retired, and living alone in a small town about 50 km SW if Boston, MA, USA I'm a Chemical Engineer; I have a BS and MS degree from M.I.T. I'm divorced, and have a son and a daughter, and 5 grandchildren.

I traveled a lot in my work (project analysis), and lived for 2 years in Egypt. I learned enough Egyptian Arabic to get around, and have always enjoyed languages. Also studied Mandarin Chinese a bit. Wo hui shuo zhong guo hua yiddiar.

One of my favorite hobbies was sailplane soaring. When I lived in Egypt, I Joined an active Soaring Cub, and had some great flights. One over 5 hours.
