[edit]General feedback
What the article does well:
- definitions are clear (jargon is good) and well-explained
- large range of types of stereochemistry
- references are accurate and in the correct format
What to add:
- Introduction so the reader knows what they're reading about
- A history section of stereochemistry just to give a bit of a background
- Examples (using diagrams or equations/mechanisms to show how stereochemistry plays a role in chemical reactions)
- If using examples, explain the chemistry behind each example
- Diagrams!!! Stereochemistry is much easier to understand through the use of diagrams
Further detailed feedback
Lead: not very clear - no lead is included in the article. Including a small paragraph to introduce the topic and define jargon will be very helpful.
Structure:
- After introduction, include a history section (does not have to be very detailed - just a brief section is good enough).
- For types of stereochemistry, maybe include each type as a subheading, instead of listing them as bullet points. This will allow you to explain each type in more detail (give a definition and example with an explanation for each type).
- make optical activity a title and include more details about it. I think this is a very complex but important topic that requires more details, such as definition (explain the science and include diagrams), multiple examples, detailed (but not too complex) explanations of each example.
- For definitions, begin with the word you are defining, and then define that term. For example:
gauche: a torsion angle of ±60°
Neutrality: overall, the writing is neutral (no biases).
