Goldfinchshuffle

[edit]

Hello - I’m Goldfinchshuffle, Goldie for short. I’m based in Birmingham, UK but also found in London and Bristol, and Essaouira, Morocco. I work remotely as a virtual assistant to freelancers in the creative industries. I’m here because giving back to Wikipedia while I learn something new seems like a good thing.

About me

[edit]

I studied at Winchester School of Art and have a degree in the History of Art (BA Hons). I worked in the creative industries as a front of house manager, office manager and production coordinator. I have also been the owner-manager of a small home ware shop.

Interests

[edit]

Meeting people, surfing, architecture, wildlife, yoga, films (more than TV although I’ll binge-watch given the opportunity), photography, travel, sitting in cafes, walking cities listening to a podcast, new tech that improves work and life, my cat.

I like reading travel books and biographies, and my favourite magazines are WIRED and Courier.

[edit]

I took a 4 week yoga teacher training course in Rishikesh, India.

My cat, Peanut, is a tortoiseshell.

My example citation

[edit]

I read an interesting article about morphine production in Tasmania[1] and about London based physician John Snow who linked cholera to waterborne transmission[2].
