Bhakti Ananda Goswami
[edit]David Michael Sherman aka Tridandi Bhakti Ananda Goswami Maharaja is the founder of the Saint Francis of Assisi Ecumenical Retreat. He was Ritvik initiated by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada into the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), commonly known as the "Hare Krishna movement". He was inaugurated by Dr. Acharya Prabhakar Mishra (Prabhupada's first secretary, diksha disciple and Sanskrit mentor) and Dr. Rup Lal Batra (Mahatma Gandhi's secretary and best friend) to carry on the Jhansi League of Devotees as a non-sectarian Bhakti yoga movement.
