1829

by 1830 ithill is known as cantonment hill due the location of a military camp near by. It was a popular lookout over the fledgling settlement of Fremantle Robert Dale painted the view in 1830. Families of Indigenous prison held on Rottnest would send signals from the hill, the fires would aslo help those trying to escape.

1974 "oval" leased to Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions as playing fields 1981 epa 1982 CBC PS takes over sisters lease 1982 site works - clear, level, retic uses thru until 1997 1992 management plan developed 1997 heritage listing over site and features 1997 lot 50 BFS
