Giulio Massimo Baistrocchi Visual artist, blogger and gardener

Born in Rome , the 21st of April 1979.

Coming from a family of diplomats ( Ettore Grandfather, Marco father, Massimo uncle, and Allegra cousin) He has lived in Madrid, Brasilia, Rome, Udine and London, and spent lot of time in Sweden.

He was educated in Middlesex University (Ba Fine arts), he had several art exhibitions in the Uk and Italy.

He was selected for the Venice Biennale ( Trieste pavillion : Biennale diffusa) where he had shown his paintings dealing with the deforestation of the Amazon Forest. Ecology being his major theme , and plants in general.

His botanical obsession made him work in several gardens like Tresco Abbey Gardens, Giardini La Mortella, Villa Boccanegra ( with some brief experiences at Villa Hanbury )Logan Botanic Gardens .

As a horticulturalist he has worked for several specialist nurseries in famous Plant Fairs in Europe ( Chelsea Flower Show, Hampton Court etc )
