Mattinbgn is a Wikipedia editor and administrator, who made news in Australia after commenting on some Wikipedia articles.

News-making comments

[edit]

Mattinbgn made news headlines in his home country of Australia after making comments relating to the Wikipedia articles for Corey Delaney/Worthington. Mattinbgn repeatedly stated that to keep the articles on the site would create a precedent for Wikipedia to behave more like a tabloid newspaper, also noting that appearing on A Current Affair did not make one inherently "notable".[1] Furthermore, he asserted that as Delaney/Worthington was a minor when he made news, maintaining a Wikipedia biography for him could have rash and possibly unfair consequences.[2]

Personal life

[edit]

Mattinbgn has also stated that he does not look good with, or without, glasses on, although his publicity correspondent is yet to release pictorial evidence.[3] That said, no pictorial evidence could possibly make Mattinbgn look as cool as Mr. Delaney/Worthington, whose awesome hair, glasses, jacket, hat, and abs, are only outdone by the facial expressions of the people who probably got payed thousands of dollars to get in a photo with him.[4] However, Mattinbgn is also a notable photographer, with major news services having utilised his work.[5]

Aftermath

[edit]

As a result of Mattinbgn's fame, there is now a petition for him to run for the Wikipedia arbitration committee, with fellow editor Dihydrogen Monoxide stating "Having Mattinbgn on ArbCom would ensure a fair deal for all those playahs with MySpaces."[6] However, it is possible Dihydrogen Monoxide, in making these comments, is declaring a bias, according to news.com.au reporter Andrew Ramadge.[2]

Daniel Johns plans to spray paint "MB4PM" when he next performs at the ARIA Awards, although any chance at Mattinbgn becoming Prime Minister of Australia could be diminished if Johns reveals they inhaled while smoking and listening to the next Silverchair album.[citation needed]
