Alex Bannon (born 16 September 2003) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays for Airdrieonians, on loan from English club Burton Albion, as a defender.[1][2]
Career
[edit]Bannon joined Queen's Park at the age of 9 from Parkmoor, spending time on loan at Edinburgh University before turning professional in 2022.[3] He extended his contract in February 2024.[4]
He signed for Burton Albion in July 2024.[5][6][7] He missed the first few weeks of the season due to injury.[8] He made his Burton debut on 24 September 2024, being captain in a 2–1 defeat to Notts County,[9] and his Football League debut on 1 October 2024, in a 3–0 away defeat to Reading.[10]
In February 2025 he returned to Scotland, signing on loan for Airdrieonians.[11][12]
