Briefly describe why you have chosen this article to evaluate. I am extremely passionate about how nutrition affects our health and the many benefits that can come from eating a healthy or organic diet.

Does the Lead include an introductory sentence that concisely and clearly describes the article's topic? The introductory statement is extremely clear and outlines what will be covered.
Does the Lead include a brief description of the article's major sections? The lead offers insight to what will be discussed.
Does the Lead include information that is not present in the article? No, the lead gives an honest summary of what to expect in the article.
Is the Lead concise or is it overly detailed? The lead is very concise.

Is the article's content relevant to the topic? The articles content is relevant.
Is the content up-to-date? The content was last edited August 31st, 2020 so yes.
Is there content that is missing or content that does not belong? No I believe that everything was quite relevant.
Does the article deal with one of Wikipedia's equity gaps? Does it address topics related to historically underrepresented populations or topics? The article does mention the impact GMOs have had on farmers and I often don't see much news regarding their work.

Is the article neutral? The article is very neutral it stays away from politics and any bias.
Are there any claims that appear heavily biased toward a particular position? No, I would say the article offers the pros and cons of GMOs
Are there viewpoints that are overrepresented, or underrepresented? No I would say that the overall article covers everything equally
Does the article attempt to persuade the reader in favor of one position or away from another? The article definitely persuades people to be in favor of GMOs.

Are all facts in the article backed up by a reliable secondary source of information? Yes and there are in text citations throughout the entire article.
Are the sources thorough - i.e. Do they reflect the available literature on the topic? Yes. All sources are listed on the bottom.
Are the sources current? I noticed that some of the sources had a later publishing date than others but a majority of them were current.
Are the sources written by a diverse spectrum of authors? Do they include historically marginalized individuals where possible? Yes, I noticed that the authors were both from western and eastern hemisphere countries.
Check a few links. Do they work? Yes.

Is the article well-written - i.e. Is it concise, clear, and easy to read? Yes, as stated prior, the language is straight to the point and easy to understand.
Does the article have any grammatical or spelling errors? Not that I noticed.
Is the article well-organized - i.e. broken down into sections that reflect the major points of the topic? yes, overall supporting the use of GMOs.

Does the article include images that enhance understanding of the topic? Yes, there are a variety of images provided.
Are images well-captioned? Yes, there is a short excerpt under each photo.
Do all images adhere to Wikipedia's copyright regulations? Yes.
Are the images laid out in a visually appealing way? There are some parts of the article that are a little cluttered.

What kinds of conversations, if any, are going on behind the scenes about how to represent this topic? There is clearly a motive to present GMOs in a favorable light.
How is the article rated? Is it a part of any WikiProjects? It is part of a series relating to genetics. Its not a featured article but is rated "good".
How does the way Wikipedia discusses this topic differ from the way we've talked about it in class? We have not touched upon this topic in class.

What is the article's overall status? Very informative and relatively neutral.
What are the article's strengths? Provides Clear train of thought and easy to understand.
How can the article be improved? Provide more studies on the cons of GMOs.
How would you assess the article's completeness - i.e. Is the article well-developed? Is it underdeveloped or poorly developed? The article is well developed.
