A contributor recently excised half a dozen passages from the article on targeted killing, asserting they were copyright violations.
I am going to copy what looks like the target passages from the original articles, and use the diff function to compare it with the excised passages, to see how closely they differ.
In this particular case the original is broken up into paragraphs, while the excised passage wasn't, so I eliminated the paragraph breaks first. original wapo article excision diff Geo Swan (talk) 18:05, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
- In order not to leave what some regard as copyvio material online I am trimming the excised passage. Compare the first two entries in the revision history to reach your own conclusion of the validity of this excision. Geo Swan (talk) 21:07, 23 November 2011 (UTC)
