When Justin Trudeau won a majority in the Canadian Federal elections on October 19, 2015, he announced his new cabinet would contain equal numbers of male and female ministers -- a first for Canadian cabinets. He also announced he would reduce the number of cabinet members

Canada's Governor General David Johnston appointed the thirty cabinet members, on November 4, 2015.[1]
