From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Frank Volpicella is an award-winning American journalist.[1][2] In 2014 he was part of a team at Austin, Texas's KVUE, who won a Peabody Award for a documentary on mental health.[3]

Volpicella spent 15 years at KVUE, prior to accepting a job as news director at WGCL-TV, the CBS affiliate in Atlanta, Georgia.[3] Previously he had worked at WAFF-TV in Huntsville, Ala., and at WSB-TV, also in Atlanta. Volpicella said he started working when he was 16 years old.

Patti C. Smith, who was then the President of KVUE, called Volpicella an icon in the USA's news industry.[2]
