Jintu Gitartha

Born in 1998, Jintu Gitarth is brought up in a remote village of lower Assam. Being curious since childhood towards the inner space of individual being, he has been making sincere efforts to explore the cosmic relationship between the individual self and the outer world. Being a student of Education discipline, he has been trying to inspect how gender attitudes are formed in his own society. As a story-teller, he not only voices for the sexual and gender marginalized but also for the contemporary socio-political issues. His short stories reflect the changing scenario and human relations in the rural as well as in the urban life. Being transited to the Guwahati city to pursue higher education, he has penned down the aloofness and psychic issues of the city dwellers through his narrations in the different stories. At the same time his stories represent the marginalized and unattended individuals of the society including the victims of moral policing, sexual exploitation and body politics etc. His short story has been translated into English, Hindi and Bodo language.
