In popular culture the term free energy is often used to classify devices that liberate free energy from the environment. Where Gibbs free energy assumes a constant temperature and pressure and defines Free-energy relationship (or linear Gibbs energy relation) to help understand the reaction mechanism for a chemical reaction and makes it possible to predict reaction rates and equilibrium constants. Helmoltz free energy assumes a constant temperature and volume. In chemistry this is referred to as work content. In statistical mechanics Free energy perturbation, is a method based on used in computational chemistry for computing free energy differences from molecular dynamics or Metropolis Monte Carlo simulations.
Culture
[edit]In popular culture the term free energy is often used to classify devices that liberate free energy from the environment.
Everything from electrostatic generators, heat pumps, solar, wind up to Human powered vehicles. Because time is money and the mandatory daily exercise costs time. An example would be Free Energy International bv, a project oriented private enterprise, focusing on offering their expertise in the field of solar electricity to interested companies, governmental organisations and institutions. The president of Free Energy International is Peter van der Vleuten, who has an extensive background in solar electricity.[1]
Some people think free energy is being suppressed, in the sense that special interest groups deliberately suppress technologies that may provide energy at very little cost. All kinds of arguments can be constructed for and against this theory. Like: If it's suppressed then it's not free?
Open systems
[edit]Open system is a good trigger word to enable scientist to speculate. Physics doesn't allow for perpetual motion because physics applies it self to closed systems. All contraptions in the real world are subjected to the elements. So if you attach a flag to a pole it goes into perpetual motion. Scientists are all to quick to say "yes, but that is just wind energy". Of course we can also do things with geothermal energy. Scientists will say "yes, but that is just heat".
But if we are honest then big and small heat changes are both heat changes. So the zero point energy is just another heat fluctuation. Scientists cant build a closed system that excludes this energy source. Free energy is free energy, infinite small bits of power make for an infinitely large source.
In 1500 Cornelius Drebbel patented a clock powered by a perpetual motion device. This device used ambient pressure and heat fluctuations. The attempt at exclusion of heat engines from the definition of the mobile didn't apply it self until much later. But even today science has not managed to remove the heat from their ideal system. One can safely argue they will never accomplish to accomplish this. Zero Kelvin can only be approached. The idea of making solar panels was just as silly as the heavier than air flying machine was in 1800. Cosmic waves beaming their Radiant energy down from the sun onto some panel attached to a Leiden Jar. You could get a few good laughs at the local pub with that story.
When we are honest we see scientists championing opinion peaches while sufficient documentation exist to attempt reproduction. Here the Law of Attraction clearly prevents them from doing basic investigation on the topics. This in it self grands tremendous credibility to the hundreds of perpetual motion claimants for the laws of thermodynamics are based on the assumption such devices where never presented while the opposite appears to be true, the devices never suffered any actual investigation. {{no ref here}}
But if we equate large and small heat fluctuations into simple uniform heatfluxuations then Cox's timepiece, Beverly Clock, Atmos clock and Cornelius Drebbels apparatus are all the perpetual mobile one could ask for. The white noise you can find on the radio dial is also broadcasted for free. You have the radio equipment to detect that. I think we can say that cosmic radio FM is also broadcasted in any real world system.
- Zero point energy, the lowest possible energy that a quantum mechanical physical system may possess and is the energy of the ground state of the system.
- Vacuum_energy, an underlying background energy that exists in space even when devoid of matter.
- radiant energy, or electromagnetic free energy.
All matter is in perpetual motion really. It would be a crank scientist to deny it.
