Darryl L. Boyer
[edit]Darryl L. Boyer (born June 7, 1999,) is an American media personality and public leader who serves as Student Body Vice President, University of North Florida (UNF) from 2021-Current.
Born and raised in Palm Coast, Florida, Boyer attended Flagler Palm Coast High School, graduating with a dual degree and honors in 2018. Contesting Student Government Elections as Elections Commissioner, Diversifying student leadership as a student senator, and breaking barriers as an adopted 1st generation college student, Boyer refuses to settle for anything less than greatness.
Boyer's political positions have been described as populist, protectionist, isolationist, and nationalist. He entered UNF spring 2021 Presidential Election as a conservative minority and was elected in an upset victory over opposing parties. Despite not ever publicly stating his political views, throughout the election Boyer received much backlash and bullying from his peers. Members from the opposing side went so far to publicly post his voter registration, messages claiming he's a "racist", "anti-black", and even "poor". [1]
Prior to Boyer's election he faced an impeachment trial that raised from peer bullying. Boyer was acquitted [2] on all counts and continued his time as Elections Commissioner until he resigned to run as Vice Presidential Candidate. [3]
Despite Boyer's early life challenges and many life obstacles he never ceases to help others and provide to those around him. Since the election, Boyer has continued his tenure as President of UNF's National Society of Leadership and Success, Vice President of Phi Alpha Delta, Student Body Vice President, and a mentor to local title one schools.
As Vice President, Boyer works to fight against student hunger, campus safety, campus inclusivity, and student engagement.
