I have been very active on wikipedia for the last couple years and i really enjoy browsing and creating. That being said I want to be more involved and I am taking an active role in protecting the quality and integrity of wiki. If I make a change to your work please don't take offense. People make changes to mine all the time I am not perfect. Sometimes you need another perspective to create the best information for everyone.
As one of the world's most popular sites, Wikipedia is subject to many people who think it is a social networking site, an advertising service or a free web host. Wiki get inundated with piles of crap each day. This includes, the things they made up one day, garage bands, websites, companies and organisations that encyclopedia readers don't care about; vanity; spam; nonsense and dreaded vanispamcruftisement. I feel it's my responsibility to help get rid of such "articles".
