Munster the Bulldog also referred to as Mr. Fancy Pants is the inspiration behind an organization called Munsters Mission. On August 25, 2011 in Kalispell, Montana an English Bulldog was born. A breed known to have predispositions to numerous health problems. Munster was, unfortunately, born with spina bifida; a condition where the vertebrae overlaying the spinal cord are not fully formed and the number one reason a breeder would choose to euthanize but Munster has brought new meaning to English Bulldogs born with Spina Bifida but most of all the chance to live.
When his original owner took him to the vet as a puppy, the doctor suggested that she have him put to sleep, as it is terribly difficult to care for a dog with such a condition, as well as a great strain physically, emotionally, and financially. Alas, his owner refused. Instead, she reached out to the bulldog Rescue community for help. There, she found a kind soul named Glenda Mosner from Owings Mills, Maryland. Glenda Mosner was experienced with special needs dogs and fell in love with Munster the second she laid eyes on him. With a great deal of help from the bulldog community, within three days, Munster was able or safely make it from Montana to his Forever Home in Maryland where he now lives happily with family including a fellow English bulldog named Mozzarella
