I am Frederick Travis, and my journey began in the heart of Saint Louis, MO, amidst the challenges of a family of eight. Growing up in poverty, my parents battled drug and alcohol addiction, casting a shadow over our lives. It was a tough life for us all seeing our parents face these addictions. At the age of 20, I made a life-altering decision to join the military, not just for myself but to provide a stable future for my six siblings. Serving my country was my priority and providing a better life for my family. Luckily for me my siblings were amazing to take care of. They taught me many valuable lessons like raising a family and being there for them, financial responsibility, being fair and just, and I had matured so much quicker than my peers around me because of this great duty. It was a duty I embraced with honor, standing as their protector in the face of adversity.

After serving 2 terms and receiving my honorable discharge, I felt a profound calling to do more — for myself, my community, and those who, like me, had endured similar hardships. I realize the power of every voice, every vote, and know that change can only come from within. I refuse to succumb to the limitations of my past; instead, I see it as a driving force to make a difference.

My journey is leading me to the realm of public service, fueled by a burning desire to be a voice for the voiceless. I understand the struggles intimately, and I am determined to address the issues that mattered most. In a world where politicians often seem disconnected from reality, I stand as a beacon of authenticity. I believe that true understanding, genuine empathy, and shared experiences are the keys to effective representation. '

My vision encompasses a future where homelessness is reduced, where low-income families receive the support they deserve, social equality, affordable healthcare, workers’ rights, accessible education and where the LGBTQIA+ community is protected from discrimination. These causes are not just political platforms for me — they are deeply personal. I've lived the struggles, and I carry that understanding into every decision I make.'

I am Frederick Travis, and my mission is clear: to bridge the gaps, advocate for the marginalized, and champion the causes that reflect the heartbeats of our community. My journey is not just mine alone; it is a shared path toward a brighter, more equitable future for us all.
