Nawa Freddy Damey (December 25, 1952 in Nzérékoré Region) is a Guinean politician. He has served as governor of Boké Region, and as Minister of Territory and Political Affairs in the government of Jean-Marie Doré.


Political life

His nickname is peace-maker for his multiple contributions by settling many conflicts. 1981-1988: chairman of infrastructure by the minister of security. 1988-1995: General Secretary of Administration affairs in Télimélé. 1995-1996: he is sent to N'Zérékoré for the same position. June 1996-December 1996, he is promoted Préfet to Beyla to solve the conflict between the local population and the government of Lansana Conté. 1996-1998: he is sent to Kérouané to solve another conflict between the ruling polical party and RPG. 1998-2001: He is sent to Yomou to solve a conflict between the political party of Jean-Marie Doré (UPG) and Lansana Conté's PUP. 2001-2005: He is sent Préfet to solve a conflict between the local population and mine company. 2005-2007: he is recalled by the population to be their leader when there was a conflict between the population and the public workers including the soldiers of Lansana Conté.
