Ryan Mingashanga (born 9 September 2005) is an Belgian footballer who plays as a midfielder for USL club LA Galaxy II.
Minga hasn’t made his USL debut yet, but is eager to prove his hard work and talent and follow the footsteps of his idol Zinedine Zidane. Ryan claims, "he has come a long way from when his parents didn’t believe in him, to now being on the verge of becoming a professional footballer."
Early life
[edit]Minga was born on 9 September 2005 in Belgium and attends George Washington High School in Philadelphia. He is of Congolese descent.
He grew up in Kinshasa the capital city of Congo, where he spent most of his present life . Growing up in a city of constant clash between the lower and upper class. In effect, there is no middle class in the Congo. That experience helped him forge a mentality of always looking out for others and give to those who don’t have.
Style of play
[edit]Minga has been labelled as a player who can operate as a "number 8" but can play every midfield position, with an innate capacity to receive and dribble with the ball at his feet while also contributing defensively. He is comfortable in both wide and central roles.
