MMI Agency is an independently owned, advertising and communications agency founded in 1986 and headquartered in Houston, Texas. The firm develops data-driven brand activation and marketing communications strategies for B2B and B2C clients. In 2013, the firm was named Large Public Relations Agency of the Year by PRSA Houston and recognized as Houston's fastest growing advertising agency by the Houston Business Journal.[2] [3]
History
[edit]Marion, Rothbard, Montgomery, Inc., (MRM) was formed with partners Cindy Marion, Rebecca Rothbard, and Pattii Montgomery in 1986. Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), Sugar Land Properties, Inc. (First Colony) and Baytown Motors were the agency's first major clients. [4]
In 1987, Marion and Montgomery bought out Rothbard and continued to run the agency, then called Marion, Montgomery, Inc. (MMI).
In 1992, Marion and Montgomery tackles its first digital project with the development of SAM, an interactive real estate marketing tool.
In 1999, Marion became sole owner of MMI after Montgomery left the agency to accomplish other goals. [4]
In 2000, MMI Agency hits the 20-employee mark.
In 2004, MMI Agency acquires additional buildings to accommodate growth.
In 2008, MMI Agency wins a national Emmy Award and launches TroopTube for the department.[5]
In 2011, MMI Agency celebrates 25 years in business.[6]
In 2013, the agency launched a rebrand to MMI Agency. [4]
In 2014, MMI Agency tops at 75 employees.
In 2015, the agency brought on Benjamin Spiegel as CEO.[7]
