A Suggested Definition Of Evolution.
Faustino Núñez Hernández

I initiated the mention of this definition, in Wikipedia, in Evolution's article Talk section (as user Faustinonh).
There was a general disapproval about this definition, and finally the discussion was archived [1].
Google Groups was suggested for extending the discussion, so I initiated a thread on this subject at Talk.Origins.
And again the disapproval of the definition was general there.
But the discussion in "Talk.Origins" led me to make an important modification to the initial definition I proposed.
I reached finally a "double sensed definition of Evolution". And this is the definition I'm keeping now here.

-------------------------

Suggested double sensed definition of Evolution:
› Broad sense: Evolution is the biological species transformation, change or mutation, regarding (their adaptation to) environmental changes or new environments (species change reflects environment change).
› Strict sense: Evolution is the biological capacity and process themselves of species of transforming, changing or mutating, regardless (or without considering) the environmental conditions.

Note: I think that, in a certain way, strict sense is not properly a form of evolution, because I think that a species should not be considered evolved until it was adapted finally to the environment (environment has the last word). This is why, initially, my definition of Evolution only referred the "broad sense", as can be seen in my comment at Evolution's article Talk section and at Talk.Origins.
