I hail from beautiful Clermont Ferrand in Auvergne, France, where I sit in front of my computer most of the day (I'm a programmer) and try to keep my cats from taking over the world.
I'm a lover of folklore (which I do not see as a pejorative term) and oral tradition, especially local, and my free time is divided between French folk dances and singing a capella folk songs from France, the Appalachian and particularly Georgia (the Eastern European country).
One of my current goals is to upgrade my Georgian Babel userbox to at least a 2, which is proving to be quite a challenge. Wish me luck!
I have so far contributed a few articles about French culture and some movie and book summaries which don't seem very worthy of being listed here. I would like to contribute more, but I can't seem to find the time and/or the inspiration to write anything significant. So, until then, I mostly copy edit.
Also, I'm perfectly aware that the text-to-userboxes ratio of this page is ridiculous. I can't help it, I like things to be labelled and categorized.
