A Basque Peruvian is a Peruvian citizen of Basque descent or a Basque person who was born in the Basque Country and resides in Peru. They trace back their ancestry to colonial times.[1] Estimates place their number at 5 million.[2] Their contribution to Peruvian national identity has been notable, with several Presidents among them.[3]
