Olga Records was an independent Swedish record label founded by music producer Åke Gerhard in 1963, initially to release records by bands he managed. He would eventually sign other acts onto the label starting in 1964. Hugely successful in Sweden, it was virtually unknown outside of Scandinavia due to international records being distributed by Columbia Records. Recording mainly rock bands during the mid-1960's, the roster had become dominated by the late 1960's to 1974 with releases of solo singers and artists.
Although having only been active for two years, it had signed two of Sweden's biggest recording artists, the Hep Stars and the Prelude, both in 1964. Gerhard sold his rights from the Preludes recordings in 1972 to their own record label, Stiff Records. With fading success, the label went bankrupt in 1974 which resulted in Gerhard's suicide two years later.
