False Memory Clan (FAME or FM) also known as False Memory, is a Xbox One gaming clan based in North America. It was founded in 2002 on Halo Combat Evolved for the Original Xbox. False Memory is managed by FM Juice, FM Framed, FM TimboSlice, and FM so Godly. The False Memory Youtube channel focuses on comedic gameplay, game reviews, and topic talks.

History

Beginnings

Xbox and Xbox 360 Years: (2002-2013)

In 2002 FM Virus and FM Blur created False Memory for Halo Combat Evolved on the Original Xbox. This was a time when Xbox Live had not been implemented into the console yet. To work around this they used a program called Xbox Connect which created a bridge from the Xbox to the router allowing online gameplay. Communication was difficult but they overcame it using a sophisticated language of crouches, jumps, and shooting.

The clan moved to Halo 2 and then Halo 3 when they were released. FM Juice became a leader during the Halo 3 years in 2007. The clan split up after Halo 3 but then reconnected when Halo 4 came out. During Halo 4, 2 new leaders emerged as FM Virus and FM Blur left. The 3 leaders were now FM Juice, FM Eag1e, and FM Fruit.

When Halo 4 ran its course for the members they moved to Battlefield 4 in 2013.

Xbox 360 (2013-2015)

False Memory began to grow once again reaching around 30 members. A few low key matches took place during this time with success. Unfortunately there were complications among the leaders on the growth of the clan so FM Eag1e and FM Fruit were removed from their leadership role. FM Framed and FM so Godly stepped in as the new 2 leaders with FM Juice. From this point on the clan grew in size for the next year. Autumn 2015 a big fallout among the clan occurred. At this point FM Juice, FM Framed, FM TimboSlice, and FM so GoDLy moved to Xbox One to restart the clan with a new vision.

Xbox One Years (2015 - Current):

After the move to Xbox One, one more member was added to the list of leadership, FM TimboSlice, giving the clan 4 leaders: FM J u IcE, FM Framed, FM TimboSlice, and FM so Godly. Time passed and they picked up 2 old members, FM Beef and FM NoodleMan, and with these members the clan started to grow.

The clan now focuses on Battlefield 1 as their main game but they also play other team based games. As well as competitive play, social media is a big part of the clan. Whether it is YouTube, Twitter, or Instagram. Their social media shows how they work together, encourage others, and have a good time joking around.

The recruitment process is a lengthy one but for a good reason. During the 30 day recruitment process the Leaders and Recruiters decide on the overall compatibility of the recruit. This is to make sure they are a good fit for the clan whether it's gameplay style or personality. This keeps all the members close knit and an active part in each other's lives.
