User:Ezekiel53746/Mentorship 2011

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

User:Strange Passerby ("SP") is mentoring User:Ezekiel53746 ("Ezekiel"), effective September 9, 2011, for an indefinite and indeterminate period of time. Further organisation of this mentorship will be conducted at this subpage's associated talk page. The following are the terms of agreement between SP and Ezekiel.

General guidelines

[edit]
  1. Ezekiel will enter into mentorship under SP (or any person SP may choose to fill in for him when unavailable) in lieu of his current indefinite block.
  2. Ezekiel is to acknowledge his editing behaviour to date has been disruptive, and agree to change his ways under guidance from SP (or any person who fills in for SP).

Behaviour

[edit]
  1. Ezekiel is mandated to understand the community consensus laid out at this MfD. The first part of the mentorship will require Ezekiel to understand how he has been disruptive.
  2. Ezekiel will not create further templates for non-content use without prior consent from SP or his alternate.
  3. As part of the agreement, Ezekiel agrees not to misuse user talk pages as a social forum.
  4. Ezekiel will stick to using the standard warning templates when fighting vandalism. When in doubt over whether an edit is vandalism, he should not revert and instead ask for guidance.
  5. Ezekiel is limited to the sole use of one account (Ezekiel53746). Any instances of sockpuppetry will lead to the mentorship being terminated immediately and a block requested.

Goals

[edit]
  1. With help from SP or his alternate, Ezekiel will choose a goal to reach in terms of contributing to Wikipedia. This may be in the form of writing an article, or adding to an article we already have. SP or his alternate will strive to help Ezekiel in this.

Punishment and consequences

[edit]
  1. If at any time SP or his alternate is made to feel no progress is being made, they may request for Ezekiel to be re-blocked.
  2. Should Ezekiel violate any Wikipedia policy on his own accord (when not under guidance), he is liable to be blocked without further discussion.
  3. In addition, any administrator who feels Ezekiel needs to be blocked will do so. If this happens, Ezekiel is to email SP or alternate (using the "Email this user" link), and not request an unblock without prior permission from SP.
  4. If any new block is indefinite and made with good reason and no objection, the mentorship agreement will be cancelled and deemed to have failed. If SP or his alternate raises an objection, a review will be requested.
