This is a master student studying for the MSIS (Master of Science in Information Science) now in the University of Pittsburgh.

This spring term I selected the course of Social Computing for learning the relationships between social issues and computation. Since Wikipedia is one of the most successful website representing for the science of social computing, I browsed it and registered an account to see how and why it became such an important part of people's daily life. I also try to focus on the particular topics and, if possible, to edit them by rules, making contributions with limited degrees.

Specifically, I'm interested in the topics as follows: a. Relationships between social activities and human ingenuities, like whether social activities would put negative influences on human ingenuities and creativities or not. b. Relationships between social websites and Media Industry. Musics or movies nowadays have broadcast remarkably in social ways and that might put impacts back on the media industry. c. Which aspects of characteristics of current times and era can be reflected by social computing.
