  • Economics (1st ed. 1948) – in 1964, when nearly a million were sold, it was the best-selling econ textbook of all time. In 2010, it still reigns as the best-selling textbook of all time.
  • Eighteen editions, with several reprints. Best-selling economics textbook for many decades. Sold more than 300,000 copies of each edition from 1961 through 1976 and was translated in the 41 languages. More than 4 million copies of the book have been sold. William Nordhaus joined as co-author on the 12th edition (1985).
