The library's collections support academic and interdisciplinary needs of Dartmouth academic departments and the music research and recreational needs of the Dartmouth community at large. The collections cover all genres of music (classical, popular, world music, jazz) and include scores, sound and video recordings, reference materials, journals and digital resources. Music manuscripts, archives and the sheet music collection are located at Rauner Special Collections Library, named for Bruce Rauner.
