FolkWax was an influential weekly singer-songwriter e-zine covering folk music, particularly that of Irland, Scotland (including Celtic traditional and fusion), United States (including bluegrass and bluegrass fiddle music), and Canada. It was founded around 2001 and ran until about 2010. Arthur Wood of Birmingham, England, was the founding editor. It was owned by Iowa-based VisioNation, Ltd. (now defunct) – Chip Eagle (né Charles Arthur Eagle, Jr.; born 1959), president and publisher. Its sister publications included the e-zine (i) BluesWax and magazines (ii) Blues Revue and (iii) Dirty Linen. The editors regarded Dirty Linen, acquired by VisioNation in 2007, as a compliment to FolkWax.[1]

MojoWax Media Inc., a Florida entity based in Bradenton, Florida, has severed ties with Visionation, Blues Revue and publisher Charles Eagle. We are no longer responsible for publishing Blues Revue. John J. Sullivan is President of MojoWax Media.
We are now publishing Blues Music Magazine in both print and digital format. The production staff of Jack Sullivan, Art Tipaldi, Andrew Miller, and Kyle Morris are all a part of the MojoWax Media team and will continue to produce this new outstanding Blues Music Magazine.
