John Milton Hagen (né Abel Milton Hagen; 3 December 1892 Nebraska – February 1977 Mill Valley, California)[1]

Career

Hagen graduated from Los Angeles High School, June 22, 1911. Hagen attended Stanford from 1911 to 1915, 1918, 1919, and 1920. While a student, he was editor of the Stanford Chaparral.

Songwriting

Hagen published over 500 songs during his career, including "Hail United Nations," for which he waives royalities. While at Stanford, he wrote the Rah, Rah, Rajah while studing with Maxwell Anderson.
