Musical Courier
[edit]The Musical Courier was founded January 1880 by Marc A. Blumenberg.[1]
On August 15, the Musical Courier merged with the Musical Observer. The Courier had been a weekly publication devoted to music news. The Observer had been a monthly publication devoted to music pedagogy. George H. Hilbert (1881–1969), sole owner of the Observer purchased the stock of the Courier, becoming its sole owner.[2]
