Phyllis M. Cameron (born 4 July 1908 San Juan, Puerto Rico) was a band vocalist, notably in the casinos of Rio de Janeiro from about 1936 to about 1943.

Life

Phyllis M. Cameron was born July 4, 1908, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Philip Cameron and Mary Zima (maiden). She was raised in San Francisco and went to school in Brooklyn, where she was a classmate of Clara Bow. Her first stage work was in ballet with the Metropolitan Opera, and, early in her career, she appeared in a feature role in The Band Wagon.

Family

Cameron married Actor Si Wills (né Serenus Morgan Williams; 1896–1877) on October 23, 1929, in Wood County, Ohio. Wills later married comedic actress Joan Davis.

Cameron married a wealthy cinema theater executive, Lester B. Isaac (né Lester Benjamin Isaac; 1895–1973), on August 31, 1931, in Washington, D.C. Their divorce, filed in 1937 and finalized in 1940, was highly publicized in the tabloids.

Cameron married Alfred E. Williamson, Jr., on May 14, 1946, in Manhattan, New York.

Cameron married Lou Wills, Jr., on February 10, 1951.^[2]
