Eskil Simon Kanne Wadsholt was born in 1979 in Odder, Denmark. He grew up in the Aarhus area and went 12 years to a Waldorf School (based on philosophies from Rudolf Steiner). He has studied mathematics and musicology at Aarhus University and is a teacher of mathematics in the Danish Upper Secondary School (gymnasium). He is known as the user String on Mathematics Stack Exchange.
