Erik Hedlund is a biophysicist and engineer, currently residing in the Lausanne region, Switzerland.

Erik has a Master of Science in computer science and engineering from Lund, Sweden. He studied biophysics on a European Commission Marie Skłodowska Curie grant in England. Funded by the grant he acquired a Master of Science by Research in condensed matter physics from Oxford and his doctorate in biophysics from York. His research was focused on studying aspects of molecular dynamics during eukaryote metabolism.

Erik was born in Malmö in southern Sweden in 1981.
