Just a little about myself ...

I was born and raised in Vienna/Austria, where I have been working as a high school teacher for English and History since 1992 and as an instructor for taekwondo, kickboxing, and boxing since the mid-1980s and early 1990s.

I have been using Wikipedia extensively for many years, mostly in order to find information relevant to my professional as well as my private life. I am interested in travelling, getting to know foreign cultures and learning languages, in history, movies and TV-series of various genres, in nature and animal life, and in almost all forms of martial arts. Plus in most other things, I guess ...  ;)

By adding some information here and there and correcting (mostly grammatical) mistakes in texts whenever I encounter some, I have been trying to give a little bit back of what I have been receiving and thus contribute to Wikipedia, which I believe to be a very useful and an all too often academically wrongfully underrated institution and source of information.
